Our Mandate

Our activities are guided by the following principles:

Vision of the Ottawa Stewardship Council:
A community of individuals and organizations working in unison across Ottawa to create an environmentally sustainable network of green space and waterways on public and private lands cherished by its citizens.

Mission:
To foster environmental stewardship through partnerships with the City of Ottawa, individuals, educational institutions, organizations, businesses, and communities.

Our Goals:

Be a partner of choice for the City of Ottawa in carrying out environmental stewardship initiatives.

Build OSC capacity and capability by leveraging partnerships and relationships with other organizations.

Have measurable and sustainable impact on environmental stewardship in the City.

Spread and grow the capacity for environmental stewardship in Ottawa by acting as a model for other organizations: lead, connect, facilitate, foster, educate.

Build long term financial security to support OSC Vision, Mission, and Goals.
